A few people who ordered copies of COLD VENGEANCE signed by both of us have been wondering why they did not receive the books exactly on publication date, August 2. The reason is simple logistics. Almost a thousand books had to be shipped to Linc, individually signed, boxed, then sent on to the Poisoned Pen bookstore in Arizona, where Doug is arriving this evening (August 4). It will take him at least two days to sign and personally inscribe the books (most authors who undertake this kind of thing, we’re informed, don’t accept inscriptions!) Once this is complete, the Poisoned Pen assures us that they will be mailing out the fully signed copies early next week.

We appreciate your patience in this matter and your continued support of our books. We’re not a big corporation, we’re just two writers trying to provide a service to readers who otherwise might not be able to obtain signed copies. It’s our hope that the book’s uniqueness will make the brief wait worthwhile.
