DAY 8: OHIO, PART II. Concerning Enoch Robinson…

This was a relatively quiet day for the Road Trippers—a chance to sleep in a bit at the hotel before boarding the bus (now freshly cleansed of its Brobdingnagian bug-splatter and ready for another leg). There was only one formal signing today, an evening event at the Books & Co. store in Dayton, Ohio. This was another beautiful bookstore with another outstanding crowd—we really are beginning to feel spoiled. Some particularly interesting questions were asked by the audience this evening.

The store featured a staircase grand enough for Scarlett O’Hara, which has been used in numerous wedding ceremonies. Nice to know that bookstores can be so versatile. We’re enjoying Ohio so much we’re thinking of staging a series of horrific murders here and sending Pendergast out to investigate…
