I'll be giving the keynote address and teaching at the Tony Hillerman Writers Conference in Santa Fe this November. I'm a huge fan of Tony Hillerman's mysteries and had the honor of meeting Tony a number of times before he passed away.

The conference is run by Tony's daughter Anne Hillerman, an excellent writer herself, and Jean Schaumberg, both old friends of mine. This is a small, intimate, and truly outstanding writer's conference which I recommend wholeheartedly. I will be joined by many fine writers include David Morrell, the creator of Rambo, and Hampton Sides, one of my favorite nonfiction writers, who gave us such excellent books as Ghost Soldiers and Blood and Thunder.
