Day 2, Foxwoods CasinoPrinter Friendly View
Linc and Doug displaying their 'winnings'. (Don't ask how much they started with.)

Day two of our trek found us heading into Boston to greet the fine folks of Hachette’s New England office. The bus generated its own brand of shock and awe as it lumbered through the narrow winding streets of Boston’s old town, scattering cabs, SUVs, and corporate lawyers crossing against the light. We then rolled back into Connecticut for a visit to the Foxwoods hotel and casino. There was a great crowd for our presentation, and the Foxwoods people were courteous and generous (although not generous enough to allow us to use our loaded dice at the craps tables.) The evening then took a rather different turn as we hit the casino floor ourselves to try our luck at the roulette wheel. I, with my innate talent for gambling, won $100. Linc on the other hand lost his house, cars, dog, parrot, and future royalties until the year 2023. (Actually, he lost just shy of $50 and was later seen slouching off, muttering, to his suite.)
